My conversations with others lately have often included some discussion on how each of us is “getting through” —- as in getting through COVID. With every person on the planet affected in some way, asking after one another has become commonplace — not a bad thing.
In these past few cold, snowy weeks, I’ve had several SBF customers tell me that access to fresh, healthy food, and a warm, inviting place in which to shop has helped them, in some small way, to get through. I don’t take those comments lightly, and I know that my farm, market and kitchen co-workers don’t either. In fact, knowing that our work and our food make a difference to folks at a time when there are many out there who are struggling, helps us, the SBF staff, to get through.
On the Farm, In the Kitchen and at the Market: Our passion for growing and making food is always with the recipients — our community — in mind. We hope that the fresh produce, prepared foods, local products and friendly service make getting through a little easier for you. Be well.
